Discover the exciting world of engineering through hands-on building challenges!
Throughout this 12-week course, students will explore simple machines, mechanical movement, and the engineering design process while creating a new project nearly every week. From cars and windmills to catapults, cranes, merry-go-rounds, and other moving mechanisms, each lesson introduces real engineering concepts through fun, interactive builds.
As students design, build, test, and improve their creations, they’ll develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills while learning how forces, motion, gears, levers, pulleys, and other mechanical systems work together. Older or more experienced students will be challenged with extension activities that encourage deeper engineering thinking and more advanced designs.
Whether your child is an aspiring engineer or simply loves to build and create, this engaging semester-long program provides the perfect foundation in engineering through hands-on exploration, collaboration, and discovery.
